Lingua-World has offered customized translation and interpretation services in South Africa for the last five years and in this time firmly established itself as a language service provider under the direction of Office Manager Hector Makitla and Project Manager Derrick Simango.
Here, quality meets a real passion for translation projects. “It’s important to us to be able to offer the best services at the best prices” says Hector Makitla explaining the winning formula for the team in Johannesburg, which has already won many satisfied clients ranging from small local businesses to UNESCO. Thus Lingua-World South Africa continues to grow, and will soon open a new office in Cape Town.
Successful business is an important part of Lingua-World’s commitment in South Africa but for Founder Nelly Kostadinova, the company’s social engagement is just as important. For many years now, the head of Lingua-World has supported children and young people in Soweto. In 2013, the Christian youth organisation YAM (Youth Alive Ministries) was able to open a computer school in the township of Soweto thanks to the support of the Lingua-World team.
Lingua-World donated equipment, and staff joined together to teach the children how to use their new technology. The computer school’s motto: “The future begins today”. Since then, the Lingua-World family has become very fond of the children and regularly helps them further their skills.
During their most recent visit, Lingua-World supported YAM in Soweto with a new fridge, lots of toys and everything that the children need to help them learn, including exercise books, painting materials, scissors and lots more. “I am absolutely determined to support the education of the children, because children are the key to a successful future”.
For her long-standing commitment to the children in South Africa, Nelly Kostadinova was recently awarded the ‘YAM Award’ and welcomed as a member of the Youth Alive Board of Directors Sub-Committee for fundraising, where she will assist in fundraising for the renovation of the Youth Alive Centre.
